FROG OBSERVATION KIT
The Frog Observation Kit is a tool for anyone who wants to help collect data on the sounds of local frogs and toads. The populations of local frogs and toads need to be monitored closely to track the overall health of wetland ecosystems.
The Frog Observation Kit uses long range microphones to record frog and toad calls. These recordings get transmitted through WiFi so that they can be stored for up to a week. With the Frog Observation App you can use AI to help you identify the species you are hearing. The motion detectors allow you to get notifications when there is activity nearby your data collection site. You can turn on the red lights (which frogs and toads can’t see) on the top of each of the stakes when you go out to observe activity or collect data at night.
